Opened by Hand is a handwritten-mail service run by Smartify AI ("we", "us"). This policy explains what we collect through openedbyhand.com and our service, and what we do with it.
What we collect
- What you send us through our forms: your name, email, company, what you would mail, and volume.
- Mailing lists you give us: the names, addresses and message text for the people you want us to write to.
- Payment details: handled by our payment processor (Stripe). We do not store full card numbers.
- Basic site analytics: page views and general device and location data, measured without advertising cookies.
How we use it
- To write, stamp and mail your pieces, and to send you samples, proofs and receipts.
- To reply to you and manage your account and plan.
- To keep the site secure and to improve it.
The recipient lists you upload are used only to fulfill your jobs. We do not sell them, rent them, or use them for our own marketing.
Who we share it with
Only the service providers that help us run Opened by Hand, and only what they need: hosting and email (Cloudflare), payments (Stripe), printing partners when you ask us to print an insert, and the U.S. Postal Service, which delivers the mail. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep recipient lists only as long as needed to finish and support a job, then delete them, unless you ask us to keep them for repeat mailings. Account and billing records are kept as long as the law requires.
Your choices
You can ask us to see, correct or delete your information, or to stop emailing you, by writing to cooper@openedbyhand.com. If you received a piece from one of our customers and want to stop, tell us and we will pass your request to that customer and remove your address from their future jobs with us.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards, including encrypted connections and access controls. No system is perfectly secure.
Children
Our service is for businesses and is not directed to children under 13.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
